History:  The Kentucky Thumbpickers Club was formed on April 1, 1990 and was the first thumbpicking club organized.  The purpose of the club is to promote and perpetuate the playing of thumbstyle guitar as performed by Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Jerry Reed and the other legends.  We began as friends picking on Friday night at Tuck Raisor's house and we are still just friends getting together and picking on the 2nd Saturdays of each month.  Come join us.

KTPC is truly an international organization with members in Scotland, England, Australia, France and other countries as well as pickers throughout Kentucky and all around the United States.

Meeting Date and Time is the Second Saturday of every month starting at NOON. The short business meeting is generally preceded by an informal jam session and is followed by a guest performer or the continuance of the jam session.   Light refreshments are available.   Members, friends and the general public are invited to attend.  Click HERE for dates for this year.
